Women for Election Visits WA

In 2023, ALGWA celebrated the launch of the Parliamentary Friends of Women for Election and the Federal Government's funding commitment to support women across all tiers of government. ALGWA is proud to be part of the consortium that secured this funding and is actively delivering projects aimed at empowering women to enter Local Government.

We were thrilled to welcome Women for Election to WA in July and early August, where they conducted a series of workshops across the state to support women in their journeys to run for election. These workshops provided invaluable guidance, encouragement, and practical tips for women considering a role in Local Government.
