We are excited to share with you the Guest Speakers for the 2024 Women in Local Government Forum. We are looking forward to being inspired by a mix of Local Government CEO's, Managers, Elected Members and the Minister for Local Government - Hon. Hannah Beazley MLA.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Local Government employees and Elected Members to network and hear about the journeys of these leaders to gain inspiration to forge their own pathway to success.

INSPIRING LEADERS - EMPOWERING WOMEN

 

Carol Adams OAM is a trailblazer in local government, having served 26 years with the City of Kwinana, including 17 years as its first female and longest-serving Mayor.

Recognised for her contributions, she received the Order of Australia Medal in 2019 and the Local Government Medal in 2024. Carol’s leadership and dedication to community development and economic growth continue to inspire those around her.


With 36 years in Local Government, Anthony is the CEO of the City of Kalamunda and President of LG Professionals WA.

With expertise in civil engineering, management, organisational culture, and leadership, he has also served as CEO at the Town of Victoria Park and held key roles on various boards. Anthony’s vision is to drive contemporary change and innovation t leaving a lasting legacy in the sector and for local communities.



Gail, BSW, MBA, GAICD, has over 28 years of experience across Local Government, not-for-profit boards, and State Government roles, specialising in community development, economic growth, social impact and governance.

Appointed CEO of the City of Melville in 2023, she leads over 700 staff, delivering 200 services.



With over 18 years of experience in local government, Rebecca is the Manager of Strategic and Organisational Development at the City of Joondalup, where she has shaped the City’s strategic direction.

As an advocate for women in leadership, Rebecca has led initiatives supporting career progression and was the inaugural winner of the 2024 Rhonda Hardy Women of Excellence Local Government Award.


Tracy is the dynamic Shire President of Moora and the inaugural winner of the 2024 Evelyn Parker Women of Excellence Local Government Award.

With extensive experience in leadership, advocacy, and policy within agriculture and rural communities, she is known for her strategic vision and proactive community engagement, has led significant initiatives in housing, early childhood health, and renewable energy, making a lasting impact.



Minister Beazley, Minister for Local Government and Youth, the Minister Assisting the Minister for Training and Workforce Development.

Since being elected to State Parliament as the Member for Victoria Park in March 2021, Hannah has been the member of several Parliamentary and Joint Committees, held the position of Caucus Secretary and served as a Parliamentary Secretary.
