Women in Local Government Awards 2024

The Australian Local Government Women's Association WA (ALGWA WA) is honoured to introduce the inaugural ALGWA WA WOMEN in LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARDS in 2024.

These awards acknowledge and promote the positive contributions of women to the Local Government sector.

In 2024 the Women in Local Government Awards has two categories, recognising women in both professional and elected roles within Local Government.

Both awards have been named in honour of women who have dedicated a significant portion of their life to Local Government and serve as inspiration to aspiring females.

As such, we would like to announce;

The Rhonda Hardy Women of Excellence Award

and the

The Evelyn Parker Women of Excellence Award

Both award categories are accompanied by an amazing prize package and bursary to support further professional development and education.

We are privileged to Honour the Memory of Rhonda Hardy and Evelyn Parker through the naming of the Awards, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to their families for their ongoing support.
